Wilde Hilde at Germany’s Schwaben Park
Ringsted, Denmark – Schwaben Park in Germany has just opened the first Roller Ball attraction in the world and MK Themed Attractions, formerly known as Tema Design by MK Illumination, was chosen to create the fun-filled, chicken-themed decoration to bring the ride to life.
The rapidly growing theming specialist, MK Themed Attractions, has decorated yet another new attraction for the summer of 2018. The brand new “Wilde Hilde” ride at Schwaben Park is the first of its kind in the world, and its crazy chicken coop theme adds extra fun to the exciting, family-friendly experience.
The theming company was approached by Schwaben Park and asked to produce seven chickens and one rooster based on their existing technical drawings. The fiberglass chickens were placed on the structure of the ride, with one hanging upside down and others standing and watching the riders on the journey.
“One of our specialties is our ability to produce decoration for themed attractions using the client’s technical specifications, and we were thrilled when Schwaben Park chose us to turn their vision into reality for this original theme,” says Lars Nielsen, Themed Attraction Specialist at MK Themed Attractions.
The ride itself is around 25 meters tall, takes about 90 seconds to ride through, has a modest footprint and was manufactured by RES – Ride Engineers Switzerland.
Schwaben Park’s Managing Director, Thomas Hudelmaier, is thrilled about the new ride and its theme.
“We wanted a roller coaster that would be fun for the whole family and a theme that matched”, he explained. “MK Themed Attractions had demonstrated their high standard for themed production at many other parks in Germany, so we felt safe by choosing them as our supplier for this brand new ride, the first of its kind in the world!”
Some of the other themed projects MK Themed Attractions has delivered this year include a pirate-themed parade wagon for Heide Park, decorations for the new Safaribus and Jungle Rally at Djurs Sommerland, and the complex theming for Movie Park’s rapid river re-theme.
